k ORIENTAL BAY WORK, • 5, j The annual meeting lof the Rose <1 neath and Oriental Bay Ratepayers ,] Association was held in tho School > room, Roseneath, last night. The pre ' sident (Mr. T. W. Ward) occupied th chair, and there was a good attend ance of members. The annual report, already publish ed, was adopted on the motion of th « president, and Mri Ward explained tha 11 a good year's work had been accoir >f plished, and that great interest ha p been taken by the members. The sum of £250 had beei d put on the Estimates for the erectioi of bathing sheds at Ballena Bay, am it had also been decided to widen th road from Point Jerningham to Bal lena Bay, from the present 20ft. widtli which was not sufficient to cope wit the traffic. General satisfaction wa expressed by members at the result c the association's work. i_ The balance-sheet, which was adopi b ed, showed total receipts for the yea at £15 6s. 9d., including £8 Is. 9c carried forward from last year, an tlie expenditure £10 14s. 4d., lcavin .. a credit balance of £4 12s. sd.
