Vigor 1 Brown, M.P., has given two prizes, one ; of £1 Is. and the other £4 45., to bo 3 awarded for the best pair of knitted - sorks to be the work of girls attending 3 the public schools in Hawke's Bay. All \ socks entered will go towards the equip--3 nient of tbo volunteers.
