PRIME MINISTER AT TE KUITI
I 1 ELECTORAL OFFICERS DEFENDED By Telograph.—Press Association. Te Kuiti, June 14. Tho Primo Minister (the Right Hon. W. F. Massey) gave au address at Te Kuiti to-night, and received an excellent hearing from a largo audience, which frequently applauded him. During tho course of his speech Mr. Massey said he had been told that Dr. M'Nab hadj said that if the Taumurunui election was lost by tho Opposition it would be by arrangements made in the Registrar's office at Te Kuiti. Mr. Massey said that more would be heard of the statement. Ho beleived that in the Registrar's office at Te Kuiti were two perfectly honest, straightforward men, who would give no advantage to either j side. These officers had to be protected, and the statement could not be allowea | to go.
