During the year (says the committee of the Roseneath and Oriental Bay Municipal Association in its annual report) very active interest lias been taken by the members of the association, and the attendance at the meetings has been very satisfactory, The membership ]ias been considerably increased during the past j;ear, having now readied _tho total of eighty members. Gratification is expressed at the various improvements carried out in the district during the past twelve months; also at the fact that the council lias decided to make the Oriental Hay lisplanado out of revenue; that £300 is to be placed on this year's estimates lor the improvement of Grafton Road to make it suitable for motor-bus running, and £250 for a bath in Ballena Bay: that the council has formed an excellent road between Roseneath Terrace and ffrafton I'oarl; that the council has taken in timid the' question of footpaths, street channelling, and kerbing in the main streets of the district.
