Id., 12s. efl. to 135.; frit cows, £7 10s., £6. 10s. to £6; empty cows, £2 Bs. 6d. to £3 175.; steers, £4.145.; 18-months steers, £2 Us.; empty 18-months heifers, 316. 6d. to £2 2s. 6d.; 18-months heifers, in calf, £3 3s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., reports:At PalmerBtori North, on Thursday, we had a fair entry of both cheep and cattle. Competition for all classes of stock showed a slight iirijjrovemeiit on recent rates, and we sold the whole of our entry. We quote: —Mixed lambs, 12s. 10d., 13s. 3d., 13s. 6d.; fat lambs, 14s. 7d., 17s. 3d.; empty ewes, 14s. Bd.; forward ewes, 17s. 9d.; good forward wethers, 255.*, 'good 6-tooth ewes in lamb, 2fc. 6d.; aged store cows, 325. 6d.; empty 3-year heifers, £3, £3 55.; heifers, in calf, £5 17s. 6d.; forward cows, £4 7s. 6d.; fat cows, £7, £7 10s.; cows in milk, £5.
