OUTBREAK AT DUNEDIN. (By Telesraph.—PrcFc Apsoclatfon.) Dunedin, June 11. A fire broke out in Sievwright, James, and Nichol's buildings, Lower High Street, last night. The estimated damage to the building is £600, and the insurances totalled £5500. Reuben Hart, outfitter, on the ground floor, the principal sufferer, was insured for £500, and estimates his damages as £500 in excess of that amount. The origin of the fire is uncertain. A small outbreak of fire in a bedroom at 27 Tory Street, a seven-roomed dwelling-house, necessitated the City Fire Brigade being called out at 10.15 p.m. yesterday. Little damage was done, however. The outbreak started through a curtain coming into contact with a lighted candle. The building was owned and occupicd by Mr. James Russell.
