VICTORIA COLLEGE STUDENTS.
ASSOCIATION'S POSITION. (To the Editor.) Sir,—There appeared in. your paper on Wednesday morning an advertisement, und in several places it was mentioned that the Victoria College students would take part in a procession last evening in aid of Nurse Everitt's candidature for the Queen of the Carnival. I wish to state that the Victoria Uni- < versity College Students' Association had t no intention whatever of taking part in \ the procession, and that anything that was done by students was entirely without the authority of my association. The Victoria University College students are incorporated in an association which alone has power through its officers to act on t behalf of the students, and as our t executive had already refused its support i to two other candidates, I would be glad if you would publish this explanation of the so-called students' procession. The executive disclaims all connection with this unauthorised act of irresponsible students—l am, etc., r E. V. KAY, r Hon. Sec., V.TJ.C.S.A. (Inc.). ] Victoria College, Wellington, i June 10, 1915. j
