WILLIAM JENNINGS EXPIRES I ON THK WHABF. a General regret will to expressed at it the news of tho sudden death of Mr. i- William Jennings, "master paperhanger ,y and painter, of Upper Willis Street, o whioh occurred on the Ferry Wharf d shortly after 5 o'clock last evening. Mr. y Jennings had boon engaged in some work at Eastbourne during the day, it and was standing on the wharf alone Is awaiting the arrival of an express to remove his trade utensils to the work•e shop, when, without the slightest warn!S ing, he collapsed. Dr. Henry was called as soon as possible, but on his arrival could only pronounce life to bo extinct, the cause of the death being failure of the heart. As a resident of Wellington of over thirty years' standing, Mr. Jennings was very well known and highly respected. He was a-native of Devon®hire (England), and came out to the Dominion as a young man, eventually settling in Wellington. For a number j. of years he haj; been a member of St. John's Church. For some five or six years past he has been a member of the Wellington Bowling Club. Air. Jennings, who was 56 years of n a K®> leaves a widow (a daught-er of Mr. Peter Druminond), one son, Mr. William Jennings (who worked with his fathor, and is a member of the Lyric Four), and five daughters. Misses Lessio,_ Olive, Myrtle, and Lily Jennings. It is probable that an inquest will ba hold. Ie ki (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) New Plymouth, Juno 10. To-day a sad incident cast a gloom over the winter 6bow. A man named V George William 9, of Inglewood, 57 yoars of age, suddonly collapsed, and expired while being taken to a doctor. Mr. W. H.
