" 4 ALCOCK'S DINER TOURNAMENT. Those enthusiasts who visited Messrs. Alcock and Co.'s room 6 last evening were rewarded with some exceptionally good play. Fraser was in good form", and time and ngain was successful in scoring from difficult positions. No position seemed safe against his versatility. In A group Fraser (owes 50) beat Kells (owes 25) by nearly a century. Hie latter, a youth, was apparently nervous, played stiffly, and much below his usual form. Ijockwood (received 25) beat Nees (scratch) after a good tight go. Fraser (owes 00) beat Lockwood (received 25) by a fairly comfortable margin. The latter's strategy failed against the older cueist, who seemed io delight in difficult shots, and after running up a nice score usually managed to leave the balls safe. In B section, Brown (scratch) beai Bradley (received 30) and also Mills (received 50). The best breaks of the evening were Fraser 43, Kell 41. No further games will bo played until Monday next.
