BOXING
AT THE TOWN HALL TO-NIGHT. For tihe first time sinoo the outbreak of war boxing enthusiasts will have an opportunity of witnessing a professional contest, when the popular ex-champion, T. Tracy, is to meet Taylor, of Australia, in a fifteen-round contest. The visitor commenced his boxing career as an amateur, and came into prominence as rumier-up in the New South Wales State Championships. Since then he has met and defeated most of the Australian light-weights. He will be making his first appearanco in New Zealand. Supporters of the local man are confident that despite the fact that he has been out of action for a couple of years he will give aB good an account of himself as ever. Patrons will have the satisfaction of knowing that in addition to seeing what promises to be one of the most attractive entertainments in connection with the campaign for funds for the wounded soldiers, the fundß are to be devoted to that good oause. Some seats in good positions are still available for the stage, the plan for which is at Armit's.
