The trades union officials s declare that Mr. Lloyd George has ac- 1 complished a great task by broadening t the men's views. Tho masters, who c have had a committee working for some 1 timo now, are being urged to add re- 1 presentatives of labour. Committees are completing tho a census of labour and of the work in t hand in engineering establishments, to v enable the authorities to decide how c many skilled men may bo spared for e shell-making; also, in some cases, tho t transfer of civil work to other firms t with the view of transforming their e own workshops for Government require- \ ments. t Many women are offering their ser- 6 vices, and ulso superannuated engineers. ]
