CONFERENCE RESOLUTIONS. Conference continued its sittings oil Saturday, and iu order to expedite business continued in sossion throughout tho afternoon. Tho following decisions, among others, n r ore arrived at during the course of tho day:— "That tbe Commissioner bo asked of what legal or moral valuo is tlio Appeal Board's recommendation, when an appellant js informed that tho Appeal Board recommonds that ho bo considered for an early advance to position with the same maximum as that of an officor appealed against? "That where an appeal has been lodged against the promotion of an officer or officers, and such appeal has subsequently been declared to be frivolous by tho Appeal Board, tho promotion against- which the appeal has been unsuccessfully mado shall date from the dato tho promotion was originally notified in the official circular." "That tho constitution of the Appeal 'onrd, so far as it affects the Post ind Tok jr raj)li section, be so amended is to include the right of both members to sit.' on all appeals." "To enable an ofiicer to decide who;her he is entitled to promotion, it is lesired that the senior, technical, and ither examinations qualifying for pronotion be placed after officers names m ilio classification list." "That tho Commissioner be urged to •onsider success in the cheek clerk's 'technical) examination as equal in •alue to tbe Public Service senior ex.miiiation."
