GERMANY'S FOOD SUPPLIES
PROBLEM CLAIMED TO BE SOLVED (Rec. June 7, 1.20 a.m.) Amsterdam, June 6. Dr. Ddbrueck, Minister of the Interior, in a speech in the Prussian Diet, said the food question might he regarded as solved, and even considerable reserves would be carried over into the coming harvest. The 'quantity of flour and potatoes would reach tho normal peace consumption. Tho "Kruez Zeitung" says Britain' 6 starvation war lias failed. Now tho United States makes a strange demand for the stoppage of submarine warfare. If the reports of tho reception of tho German Note nre to bo relied upon, it appears that America does not want an understanding, but prefers to break off relations and give at least a moral support to Britain. Tt adds: "However comforting to us the retention of relations wtih Messrs. Wilson and Bryan may be, their utility for us is somewhat imaginary."
