(To the Editor.) Sir,—A letter signed "A Girl" in The Dominion sot mo thinking; Ave there no young women shirkers !' Are the young women of the Dominion doing their duty to tho Empire? "A Girl" talks about the young men shirkers and says that thore are at least 50,000 fit lor tho front. These "A Girl" thinks should givo their lives in defence of tlioir country, and rightly so. It is very easy for "A Girl" and other young women to sit in easy chairs sipping afternoon tea discussing the young incn shirkers. But haven't they ii duty to tlioir coup try also? There ;iro thousands of our young men who are ('iving tlioir livos for their country. What is "A Girl" doing for her country ? What are tho young women of the' Dominion doing for tlioir country? Arc they making any sacriticoP Aid tlu\y doing their duty to tho Empire? If if in tliii duly of llto young men |,o give their livon for their country, It m equally llio duty of the young women to lill the gaps made by the thousiinds who are laying down their lives in defence of the Umpire,--I am, H<\, DUTY.
