MITCHELL KNOCKS IRELAND OUT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, June 3. Tho Northern Boxing Association held a successful carnival hero this evening. Tho main attraction was a contest between Barney Ireland and Sid. Mitchell for the professional middle-weight championship of New Zealand. The contest was full of incident. In the sixth round Mitchell was groggy at the gong. He recovered quickly, however, and in tho ninth round knocked Ireland out.
