UNIVERSITY BATTALION
TO SERVE AS REINFORCEMENTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Auckland, June 2. The Beard of Education considered a proposal by the Advisory Board of the QVamuig: Colloge that each of the four University Colleges should provido a quota of 250 men, making a battalion of one thousand for service with the Reinforcements. The chairman (Mr. G'arlaaid) expressed the opinion that tlio time was ripe for a special effort as suggested, The board unanimously ados tod tiio rscopunandatioa.
