N.Z. TROTTING BOARD.
(By Teleeranh.—Press Association.. Christchurch, Jnne 2. A meeting of the N.Z. Trotting Board was held this afternoon, Mr. P. Selig presiding. James 'W. Mtiuro, who had written to a previous meeting asking to be heard in favour of his application for the removal of his disqualification, waited on. the association. In reply to questions llunTo said that he had now been disqualified for 60mething like eight years, and during the whole of that time he had never been present at a race meeting. There had been no question of personal gain in the offence for which he was disqualified. It had been done out of friendsnip. It was decided to remove the disqualification, Mr. Garrard dissenting. An application from the Auckland Trotting Cftui> to be supplied with copies of correspondence received from Messrs. Giesep, Gladding, and others, was acceded to. The application of D. Douglas for the removal of his disqualification Imposea for competing at an unregistered meeting ivas granted. . J. Morrison, of Dunedin, wrote in reference to the nomination of his mare Chapelle for a race at Forbury Park beforo having been registered. BTe said tlhat it was due to a mistake on the part of his trainer. It was decided that the disqualification necessarily incurred under tho rules should be removed, and the owner be fined £2. Correspondence was read relating to the sale of the mare Colleen Bawn, originally sold by Graham O'Neill to W. Bottomley, with a contingency, nnd then transferred to M. Rollison. The president said that he considered the matter was a private dispute between the parties concerned, and it was decided that the board should take no action.
