<By Ttlegrßpli—-Pres." Auckland, May 31. A lot of rain fell during yesterday, and several showers this morning made matters unpleasant for training operations at Ellerslie. All work was registered on the sand. Toki did strong work and spurted homo over three furlongs in 39 3-ssec. Potoro went better than Heather Mixture over seven furlongs in Imin. 33 3-5 sec. Tyson did four, furlongs in 51sec. Birkful went two rounds, 'the last seven furlongs taking lm.in. 10 3-sscc. Eii.perador covered two rounds and was joined over the last by Bimeter, the pair sprinting the last half-mile in 52sec. Red Book was going stronger than Tatterley at the end of six furlongs in lmiu. 22 2-ssec. Corrie went a mile and a half, the lasf round taking 2min. 2sec. Worcester easily beat Campeador over four furlongs in 52 l-ssec. Hereford was going stronger than Immensity at the end of a round in 2min. 4sec. ■Morecambe,' with sweaters on, traversed three rounds, Vascular assisting over tho last two. A lot of other useful exercise was done. NAT LUPIN SCRATCHED. Auckland, May 31. Nat Lupin was * scratched for the Steeplechase at 9.30 this morning.
