at the Dardanelles, was a prominent Rugby Union player, and had toured Now Zealand.
Lieutenant Steadintin, a son of tlio ex-Mayor of Whangarei, was killed at the Dardanelles. Lance-Corporal W. G. Mattheson (Port Chalmers) waß wounded; Private William Shadrick Coleman (Wellington) was killed; and Captain A. G. Watson and Private R. Stone, both New Zealandors, were killed.
