Tuesday we had a smflll jaTding of both sheep and cattle which sol!i as un ; der:—Small iambs, to ?6. 6d.; bulls. £2 155., fat and forward cows, £5 75.; aged cows, to 30.; light draught marc, £25. Messrs. W. and G. Turnbull and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly sale in their Wnipoua. (itasterton) sale yards. on Wednesday. Competition was not top brisk, but there was a total clearance of sheep and a good clearance of cattle at the followinj; Tates:— Sheep: Pat ewes, 20s. la. to 215.; fat wethers (email), 17s. 6d.; fat iambs. 15s. Id.: forward stoTe ewes, lis., 13s. Id., to 14s. 7d.: store ewes, 9s. sd. to 10s. 5d.; cull ewes, <!s. 6d.: B.F. lambs. 12s. 3d.; medium, 9s. 2d.; shorn lambs, lCe.9d. to lis. lid.; medium. 8«. Id.; cults, ss. 6d.; cnU two-tooths. 75.; two-tooth to f.m. cwee in lamb to Southdown rams. lis. Ba.; t.m. ewes in lamb to Southdown rams, 10s. 3d., 10s. 4d., to 10s. 5d.; cull 6, os. 3d. Cattle: Forward cows, £4 2s. 6d. to £A 76. 6d.; springing cows on drop, £9 to XlO 15b.; springing heifers,, due factory <iatefi, A 4 to £5: eighteen-month steers, £4; low-condi-tion cows, 2Ce. to 235.; eiffhteeu-month6 heifers. in calf, 31s.
