ENEMY TRADE MARK

» A TRANSFER ORDERED. Some weeks ago Messrs. Baldwin and Rayward applied for the transfer of tho trade-mark "Matador" from the Gonnan firm then on the Register to a, New Zealaud firm. The decision of the Govornor-in-Council has now been delivered and is favourable to tlio transfer. The Registrar, who heard the application, states in his report: "While somoivliat- doubtful whether this is a case to which the Act is intended to apply, I consider on the whole that if tlio applicants are prepared to make and supply the goods they should be encouraged to do so, and tho registration be suspended in their favour." The Registrar advised that the transfer should be subject to certain conditions, which are specified. Mr. Baldwin received tlie decision oil behalf of tho applicants.
