Laden with coal, the Union Company'* steamer Kauri left Newcastle on Thursday for Lyttclton. Tho vessel should reach, that port about Wednesday neit. The Atua arrived at Auckland on Sunday afternoon from Tonga-, Samoa, and Fiji. Sho brought 68 saloon and steerage passengers, and the usual shipment of fruit for New Zealand, and a" large quantity of copra for transhipment. Tho White Star liner Zealandic left Auckland on Sunday for London, via, Mont« Video and Teneriffe, and took the following cargo from the port of departure:— SCCO carcasses of mutton, a large quantity of beef 3330 sacks of copra, 213 bales of wool, 1068 packages of kauri glim, 375 bale 3 of flax, and a quantity of hides, tallow, pelts, leather, tow. honey, and sundries. The Alexander is due to-morrow from Nelson and Motueka with a load of apples for transhipment to the Turakina, and with 400 sheep for Pctone.
