SATURDAY'S SENIOR MATCHES. The strong breeze which prevailed on Saturday militated againsD accurate play, but for all that some exciting Karnes were witnessed. Y.M.C.A. B and Swifts, who met at Dugpa Street, provided the spectators witn a good display, and the score is a fair representation of the merits of the teams. Swifts pressed at first, and found tho wind to be a useful factor. Davis scored for Swifts \in the first half. In the second half Y.M.C.A. pressed vigorously, but Swifts gave a rattling good exhibition. Amodt and Daubney scored goals for the Y.JI.C.A., who won by 2 goals to 1. THISTLE—Y.M.C.A. A. On tho samo ground Thistle provod too cood for Y.M.C.A. A by 4 goals to 1. Brownlee scored for Thistle in the first half, in tho second half Y.M.C.A. wero hard put to for a considerable poriod, but thoy gradually worked the ball to the Thistle end. Paton, taking advantage of an excellent opening, scored a fine goal, and thus the teams wero equal. From 1 this juncture to the olose of the game Thistlo had by far the better of matters. Muller, Walker, and Loadsman added other goals for Thistle. CORINTHIANS-DIAMONDS. To the general surprise, Corinthians went down to Diamonds at Newtown Park. Diamonds were the first to press, but Corinthians ultimately oleared, and, breaking away, reversed the order of play. The defence, on both sides, however, was solid, and there was no soore at half-time. .In the second half. Corinthians wero seen to advantage, and in. the opening stages vigorously attacked. As » consequence of a fine forward run, Dumbleton got tho only goal of the match—for Diamonds. WANDERERS-ROVERS. Wanderers defeated Rovers by 4 goals to one. The former had all tho hotter of the opening stages of the match, aud soon had a goal to their credit. Smith put on a second shortly afterwards. Just on half-time, M'Dougall got a third goal. The absence'during the greater part of this half of the Harts (2) undoubtedly placed Rovers under a disadvantage. However, they succeeded in scoring. Watson put tho fourth goal on for Wanderers. JUNIOR MATCHES. Scoond Division. —St. David's (8) v. Swifts (nil); Brooklyn beat Newtown Congregational by_ 2 goals to nil. Fourth A Division.—Stars drew with Karori, 1 goal each; Y.M.C.A. (3) v. St. David's (2) ; Marist (playing two men sliort) defoated Seatoun, 4 goals to nil; Brooklyn boat Institute by 3 goals to nil. Fourth B Division.—;Wadestown (3) v. Marist (0). Fifth A Division. —Marist Brothers defeated St. David' 3 by 5 goals to 1. Fifth B Division.—Newtown Congregational defeated Amokura by 4 goals to nil. Marist (with Beven men) defeated Karori by 7 goals to nil. Sixth Division.—Brooklyn and Y.M. C.A. drew, no score. MATCHES IN AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) Auckland, May 23. Following wero the results of tho Association matches:— Tabernacle beat Adult School, 2 goals to 1; BrotTierhoo<l beat Everton, 4 goals to nil; Y.M.C.A. and North Shore drew, 2 goals each.
