THE DARDANELLES AND THE RIVER TAMAR IN TASMANIA.
Sir, —It may interest your Tasmanian and Australian readers to be reminded of two facts, viz.—that Belgium is not quite half the size af Tasmania, and .that the Dardanelles and the estuary of tho River Tamar are similar in size and shape. They are each over 40 miles in length, and each has a fairly straight course, but the Tamar is" not quite, so wide as the Dardanelles.—l am, etc., MEASURE FOR MEASURE.
