FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. toi? 6 Hospital and Charifid Board met yesterday. Mr. H. Baldwin presided. The Hospital Committee reported tnat instructions had been given, and a deposit of £500 paid, to the" board's solicitor Mr. W. T. frard, to carry out negotiations for the transfer of property from Mr F. J. Pinny to the board. The balance of purchase money is to be paid on completion of the title. \i nn i' ls -i to remain in possession until the board agrees to take over the property from him. The board decided that a house allowance of £100 per annum bo allowed tlie tuberculosis medical officer (Dr. Adams) until a residence is provided lor him. A survey is to bo made to define tho oouudarv between the college reserve and the board's property, Hobson t ft present under lease to Mrs. i,i ii ams ' the board to pay onehalf the cost. It was reported that the tender oF Messrs. A. and T. Burt (£34 35.) had been accepted for wiring and installing the electric motors at the Hospital. ■ lhe tender of Mr. A. A. Renner was awented for alterations to the kitchen offices of tho Hospital. Mr. Renner's tender was the lowest received. It was resolved:—"That a visiting committee, comprising the chairman of the board and the chairmen of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Committees be set up for the purpose of regularly inspecting and reporting on the various institutions of the board."
