Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Pahiatua sale of May 18 as follows;—We offered a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. There was very little demand, and the bulk of the entry

was unsold. Values were low on a par with other markets. Quotations: Mixed aged ewes, in lamb, 14s. 6d.; two-tooth wethers, 195.; woolly lambs, 12s. 6d.; shorn

lambs, 76. 9d.; heifers, in cflif, £3 165.; eightcen-monlhs heifers, 355. to £2; eight-een-months steers, £2; empty cows, £2 le. to £2 Bs.; weanere, 17s. 6d. to 22b. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report having held a most successful clearing sale of dairy stock on account of Mr. K. A. JTDonald, ol Levin, on Monday. Bidding for all lots was particularly keen. The whole herd of 50 cow 6 made the remarkably good averege of £8 10s. bd. Christchurch, May 19 At the Addington live stock market the entries of fat sheep and fat lamb 6 were much larger than of late, and there was » fairly large yarding of fat cattle and more numerous entries of store sheep. Good store wethers sold well, but lambs were easier.

Store sheep: Failing-mouth ewes, 6s. to 7s. 3d.; two-tooth wethers, lis, to 12s. 6d.; lair four-tooth wethers, 14s, to 15e. Id.; forward four-tooth wethers, 15s. Id. to 17s.
