NO 1 HOSPITAL THE LIST OF DOCTORS AND MEN No. 1 Stationary Hospital is to sail for the front from "Wellington to-morrow. NO. 2 HOSPITAL THE OFFICEBS APPOINTED. No. 2 Stationary Hospital is now being organised at Trentham. The hospital will consist of 200 beds, with no nurses. The personnel comprises eight officers (one lieutenant-colonel, two majors, four captains or subalterns, and one quartermaster), oue warrant officer, eight sergeants, one bugler, and sevemty-eight rank and file. The officers who have received their definite appointments were announced yesterday as follow:— Officer Commanding: Lieut.-Colonel W. Parkes M.D., F.E.C.S., Edin.
Majors: Major T. Copeland Savage, F.R.C.S., Eng. j Major M'Guire, M.D.
Captains: Captain F. T. Bowerbank, M.8., C1i.8.; Captain Scott; Captain Fergus, F.R.C.S., Edin.; Captain Wallis, ALB., C.M.
Quartermaster: Lierut. Geo. Purdy. Captain Scott is superintendent of tho Christchurch Hospital, and has been a member of the New Zealand Medical Corps for some years. Captain Fergus is Senior House Surgeon at the Dunedin Hospital, and was formerly superintendent of the Wanganui Hospital. He is a member of the New Zealand Medical Corps.
Captain Wallis is House Surgeon at the Christchurch Hospital, and was for some timo an active member of No. 2 Field Ambulance, Dunedin, in which he was a subaltern.
Lieut. Geo. Purdy was Assistant-Quar-termaster No. 1 Stationary Hospital, "rnd was a member of the Expeditionary Forco that took Samoa.
Lieut.-Colonel Parkes is a well-known medical practitioner in Auckland, and has been Principal Medical Officer of the Auckland Military District for some years,. He wears tho New Zealand Medal for 16 years' continuous service. Major Savage is also another well-known surgeon practising in Auckland. He took a prominent part in the northern city in raising funds for the Trentham Hospital, donating ,£SOO himself. Major M'Guire lately filled the post or superintendent of the Auckland Hospital, and has been in camp at Trentham sine® January last as Officer Commanding the Ambulance, sth Reinforcements. He wears the West African Medal, and is a member of the New Zealand Medical Corps. Captain Boiverbank, N.Z.M.C., is a practitioner in Wellington, and has been in oamp ot Trenlfcham for the past two months. He wns on the visiting staff of the Wellington Hospital.
