"REPRISAL"- PRISONERS IN GERMANY
HOW THEY ARE TREATED. (Rec. May 19, 7.40 p.m.) London, May 19. The American Consul visited thirteen British "reprisal prisoners" at Cologne. All were in excellent health, and their conditions had practically improved. \ Tliev were confined in an old military prison used for delinquent German commissioned and lion-commissioned officers —a gloomy, forbidding place, approximately clean. Tho cells arc small The officers were supplied with tho same food as other interned officers, reading and writing materials, a bathroom. and were treated courteously by the warders.
