LOWER HUTT COURT
At Monday's sitting of the Lower Hutt Court, Messrs. G. A, Chapman and W. James, J.P.'s, presided. ±>oi' rifling bicycles at night without displaying a light, Geo. M'Kay and F. J. Price were each fined os., witli costs "s., default being fixed at 24 hours' imprisonment. Norman Jones was similarly dealt with for a like offence in respect to a motor cycle.
For allowing cattle and horses to wander, Len. Cloako was lined 55., with 7s. costs, in default 24 hours' imprisonment; Henry Fielder (two charges) was fined 10s. oil each charge, and 7s. ccst.s, in default -18 hours' imprisonment; Earl Skinner, 205., and 7s. costs, or three days' imprisonment; Albert Peck (live horses) was fined ss. for cach horse, and 7s. costs, in default three days' imprisonment; J. V. Dyke was fined 155., and 7s. costs, in default two days' imprisonment; and F. Jleyrick was lined 10s., and 7s. costs, in default two days' imprisonment. Judgment was given for plaintiff by default in the following cases:—Clendon Bros. v. Harry Ogden, a claim for £2 lis. 6d., with ss. court costs; George Bird v. Harry Ogden, a claim for 18s. Gd., with costs ss.
