CUNARDER TRANSYLVANIA AT GREENOCK London, May 17. The Cunard liner Transylvania has arrived at Greenock, Scotland. THE LUSITANIA MURDER INQUEST ON THE VICTIMS. (Rec. At the inquest on the victims of the I.usitania outrage, held at Queonstown, the Coroner said that it would not be prudent or polite to discuss the speed or the course of the liner, which was at the captain's discretion, and under the orders of the authorities.
Tlie facts were few and clear. Sucking infants and old folks were hurled into eternity as the result of malignant design and deliberation. Germany did not excuse this act, which had staggered humanity. The Coroner hoped that a memorial would be erected at Queenstown as an indication of the resentment of all lovers of humanity and freedom at this diabolical outrage. The "Times" Shanghai 'Correspondent states that- there is unbounded indignation ill that centre over the Germans publicly drinking to the loss of the Lusitania and success to the German Navy. Tho principal clubs have ordered the Germans not to visit these institutions. Forty British firms are forming a separate Chamher of Commerce.— ("Times" and Sydney "Sun" Services.) London, May 17, The' "Times" correspondent in Now York states that, consequent on the death of Mr. Vanderbilt in the Lusitania outrage, a group of American capitalists controlling billions has decided to actively side with the Allies.
