London, May 10. "Eve-Witness" relates that a British airman oil May 10, in a single-seater monoplane, pursued a German aeroplane, but lost control oi the steeringgear while trying to reload his machine gun. The aeroplane turned over, and the airman almost fell out, hut grasped the strut and hung head down, with his legs entangled, while the machine spun round like a leaf from a height of 8000 feet to 2500.

Filially he disengaged his legs, righted his machine with his feet, looping the loop, and regained his seat.
