WARM TRIBUTE TO THE NEW ZEALANDERS
A tribute to the deeds of the New Zealanders in the Dardanelles is paid in a letter, received by the Right Hon. the Prime Minister (Mr. W. F. Massey)* from Scoutmaster A. L. Ambry, ICt. S.C., of the First Brunswick Troop (Ist King's Own Imperial Boy Scouts), Brunswick, Victoria, Australia. The letter says:-- ■ "I have the honour, by the direotion of the members of .my troop of Boy Scouts, to convey to you and through you to the peoplo of New Zealand the following resolutions on the gallant stand of our New Zealand brothers in Turkey on . April 25, 1915, in honour's cause and the defence of the Empire:— "(1) That we, the members of the First Brunswick Troop, King's Own Imperial Boy Scouts, beg to offer our sympathy through the Prime Minister to the parents - and relatives of the fallen New Zealanders who, in the words of Nelson, 'In honour's cause their lives were passed, In honour's cause they fell at last.' : - ■
"(2) We further wish to convey to you and the people of New Zealand our hearty congratulations on the gallant n:nd nohle stand they made in Turkey. "There is no douht that New, Zealand will he able to point with prido to the work of her sons after the 6tand they have taken against the common enemy. I further wish to express my own personal sympathy and congratulations." ,
