NEW ZEALAND LEAD
IN SENDING TROOPS
Statements have from time to time been made to the effect that New Zealand suffered in comparison with Australia in Uio matter of tho number of men that wove being sent to tho front. That this opinion is unfounded is borne out by tho following extract from a letter written by a wcll-lcnown New Zealand gentleman who is at present visiting Australia. In a letter to a. Wellington friend, tho writor states that "there is not tho least ground for, tho complaints that liavo appeared in one or two New Zealand papers that the Dominion is not doing more than hor share in tho matter of troops. Wo nro still .lending Australia in proportion to population, and by a long way."
