DOMINION CONTROL
BUSINESS AT THE ANNUAL MEETINC. The annual meeting of tho council of tho New Zealand ltugby Football Union was held in Wellington last evening. Mr. J. A.rneil (Auckland) presided. Tho following delegates were present: —Auckland, Dr. M'Evedy and Mr. G. 11. Dixon; South Auckland, Mr. J. H. Laughton; Taranaki, Air. M. J. Crombie; Wanganui, Messrs. A. Laurenson, G. Spnggens, and G. Pownall; Bay of Plenty, Mr. D. Weir; Manawatu, Mr. A. M. Ongley; Wairarapa, Messrs. 11. J. Southgate and A. Booth; Wellington, Messrs. E. 0. Hales, E. A. Little, J. H. Lynsky, and A. C. Kitto; Nelson, Messrs. Akers and Shrimpton; Marlborough, Mr. J. o : Sulivan; Builer, Mr. W. Reedy; West Coast, Messrs. W. Perry -md J. F. Wilson; South Canterbury, Mr. H. H, Fraser; Otago, Messrs. The annua l report and balance-sheet (already published) were adopted. Officers were clected as follow:—Patron, His Excellency the Governor (Lord Liverpool); president, Mr. G. H. Mason. Leefi) Wanganui, Mr. G. Spriggins; Manawatu, Mr. J. F. Manning; Wairarapa, Mr. D. Iv. Logan; Wellington, Mr. G. F. C. Campbell; Nelsou, Mr. 11. W. Styles; Marlborough, Mr. J.Lord; Buller, Mr. J. With a view to preventing the possibility of election by minority vote, tho following resolution was arrival at:— "In all elections for office at meetings of the council of the N.Z.R.F. U., every dolegate shall vote for the required full number for every such office."
It was resolved to do away with tho North-South Island match this year. The Appeal Committee will be located in Wellington. The sum of £150 was voted for the encouragement of Rugby in schools,
