(Bj' Telegraph— l'ims •' - ' 'om—icM.) London, May 12. At-the wool sales there was keen, competition for all crossbreds, and prices wero harder.- Merinos were firm and prices unchanged.. The following prices -were realised for the fleece portions of the clips named:—Westland, top 27Jd„ average 25Jd.i Torrick, 15d. and 13 3-Bd.; Orcel, 15d. and 13Jd.; Berthong, 141 d. and 13Jd.; Waihora, 12id. and llid. Jfew Zealand: Ditton, 19d. and 16gd.; Tunanui, 17Jd. and 16Jd.
Messrs. Murray, Roberts, and Co., Ltd., yesterday received a cablegram from their London friends, Messrs. Sanderson. Murray, and Co., under date May 12, as follows"Market strong. All descriptions of wool show improvement. Crossbred greasy coarse to medium, prices are equal to opening rates.
