NAPIER NOTES

Mr. "Dug" Corbet, of Napier, has been accepted for service as a surveyor at the front, and leaves on Saturday to join the Fifth Reinforcements. ' The following Napier volunteers have been accepted for active service:—R. H. May, F. Monk, H. V. Mountford, A. 0. M'Cutcheon, P. D. Reid. Eight Napier men are undergoing operations in the Napier Hospital in order that they may be fit to go to the front. Mr. J. B. Moffatt, of the Napier branch of the Bank of New South Wales, left this morning on transfer to Shannon. Up to the present £200 has been wllected in Napier towards the Servian Relief Fund. .• A labourer named Robert Charles "Winst-one, of Greenmeadows, has filed a petition in bankruptcy, .the liabilities amounting to £216 Is. 6d
