SUMMARY AND FORECAST Present indications are for cloudy, and changeable conditions, with showers in many parts. Expect strong southwesterly winds, barometer unsteady, with a rising -tendency everywhere soon. Atmospheric pressure is about normal over the Dominion, but is very low to the southward, and stormy conditions have prevailed about Poveauj: Strait. The following is. from Tuesday's Auckland "Herald"-.—"Some difficulty is being experienced in securing a stokehold crew for the Union Company's steamer Taviuni. The vessel has been withdrawn from the Cool; and Society Islands trade, and will u.v.v lie employed in tlio coastal cargo service. By ;in arrangement which was made when she entered the Eastern Pacific trade, six firemen and trimmers, were signed on, with the understanding that when she again returned to the coastal scrvico tiio stokehold, crew woi.ld consist, as formerly, of three firemen and two trimmers. None of the. men employed ill the stokehold, who tr?rr Ugiicd off tbn .old articles joined agaia."-
