The Wangunui Harbour Board at its last meeting received a letUvr from Pais ' loy, Scotland, dated March 17, stating that work on the new dredge was going on satisfactorily. The hull was nearing com pletion, and work on the boilers and en ginee was well forward. The yard iln wliich the vessel was being built had not beon affccted by tho Clyde engineers 1 strike. He suggested that the board in* stal electric light on the dredge., at a cost of £275.
