The North Otago A. and P. Association' have had their attention directed bv the chairman of the association to the fact that newly £100_ in members' subscriptions are outstanding. At the annual meeting' of the association he said that he thought it a pity that members who had already received tho value of their membership tickets should allow this to be so. Continuing, the chairman (Mr. Dovey) said that he had bad in mind the making of a special effort to reduce their overdraft, but in view of the great crisis they wero at present passing through, and the consequent monetary made by tho farmers and general public, lie had refrained from bringing tho matter forward. He trusted, however, that his successor to office might,, before tho end of his term, do something in the direction indicated, if circumstances permitted. The favourable weather experienced in the Pahiatua district during the past fortnight has enabled many farmers to proceed with . ploughing operations 'states our Palliatua correspondent).
