At the Adelaide Racing Club's meeting to-day, the following was the result of the race for the ADELAIDE CUP, 1300 sovs. One mile 5 furlongs. Naxbery, Bst. 71b 1 Juan I'ernandez, 7st. (71b. penalty) ... 2 Sylvanmore, 9st. 7lb 3 There were twenty-one starters. Won by a length and a quarter, half a length separating second and third. SCRATCHINGS. (By TeleEraph— Press Association.) Auckland, May 10. Scots Guard was scratched for the Great Northern Steeplechase at 9 o'clock. Te Onga was scratched for the Great Northern Hurdles and Steeples at 11.50 a.m.
