There is a "now haby" in tho slor.y whoso presonco on tlio scene at first groatly astonishes the hero and several "grown-ups, whose interest in and nll'ection for tho child characters is suggested with a pleasantly sympathetic touch. Tlicro are some excellent illustrations, and as a gift for children the story should bo very popular.
