Mails for Australian States and _ South Africa close at Auckland, per Riverina, on Tuesday, May 11, at 10.45 a.m. Mails for Rarotonga and Tahiti cloee at Auckland, per Talune, on Tuesday. May 11, at 10.45 a.m. Mails for Niue Island close at Auckland, per Kereru, on Monday, May 10, at 9.15 a.m. Late letters for mails oeyond the Do* minion caunot in future be ported on the steamer, but must be posted in the laeletter posting box at the Chief Post Office up to the appointed time shown on tho mail noice. , The advertised times for closing mails by steamers ere liable to ateration (earlier or later) at any moment. The parcel-poet mail per Main Trank express clocos at the C.P.O. at 11.30 a.m., and for the south i>er ferry steamer at 5.45 p.m. Parcels for dipatch by team ex and trains, with the exception of the u6ual ferry steamers for southern offices, closq at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, one hour before the advertised times of closing of mails. As the last clearance of the city receivers is made at 5.45 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence , for tne Sunday night Auckland express must he posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday. The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. All books and sample-packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must bo posted haif an hour before the ordinary letter-mail closes. Unless otherwise specified, registered letters and parcels-post packages must be handed in and money-orders obtained one hour before tho ordinary mail closes. All the principal mails by train and steamer close at To Aro and Courtenay Place Post Offices at the same hoars as at the Chief Post Office, with tho exception that there is no lato-feo clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for southern offices close at 5.45 p.m. Mail 6 for Auckland and Auckland district per second Main Trunk express close at Courtenay Place at 5.45 p.m. and To Aro at 8 p.m. A.
