MEETING OF LOCAL CONTROL. Mr. A. E. Wells presided at the (weekly meeting. of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football (Association on Tuesday evening. The following were also present Messrs. T. ■Thompson, P. Pye-Smith, H. Yeoman, !A. Bolton, A. Varney, J. M'Ardle, and !A. Williams (secretary). The Kaiwarra Club intimated that bn account of a shortage of players it had been found necessary to- withdraw from the senior competition. It was resolved to ask the club to take part in second division matches. A letter was received from the Town Clerk in which it was stated that the Basin Reserve would not be fit for play for at least a fortnight. A request that' the St. David's (Petone) and Toa (Porirua) second division matches be played in Wellington acceded to. _ Arrangements will be made for a team 'to visit Trentham Camp to play an exhibition game.
