The German Admiralty claims that an airship engaged several British submarines in the North Sea, and bombed and sunk one. The submarines bombarded the airship, which returned unharmed. MURDEROUS ATTACK ON A TRAWLER SHOCKING BRUTALITY OF THE PIRATES (Rec. May 5, 11.10 p.m.) London, May 5. A German submarine attacked a trawler off Aberdeen. Four of the crew were killed.' The survivors, who escaped in the boats, landed at Aberdeen after being forty hours adrift, without food or water. They did not receive a minute's grace. The vessel was kept under shrapnel fire until she sunk. The second shot wounded the captain, and another killed him while ho was crawling along the deck. The cook was killed while lowering a boat. All the survivors were wounded, with one exception. The submarine's crew laughed at their efforts to escape.
