HOCKEY iWEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. RESULTS OF MATCHES. Petone 6 Pakeha 2 Hereawa ; 0 Ramblers .... 0 The second round of the mid-week Competitions wag played yesterday afternoon. Petone v. Hereawa. Played at Petone.—The early part of the first half play was very even, until from a forward rush Cavell found the net. The spell ended with Petone in the lead. 11l the second spell Petone rushed play from 'the bully-off, and soon had Hereawa on the defensive, and Cavell again scored for Petone. Pullen (Hereawa), at' full-back, was playing a great game, but the Petono forwards could not be kept out. Cavell added two more goals, M'Ewan put a hot one in which the goalkeeper could not stop. Just before time Cavell again scored, making ihis fifth for the afternoon, Petone thus winning by 3ix to nil. ■ For Petone M'Ewan, Cavell, and Pointon were the best.' For Hereawa Clementson. Tulford, and Pullen were the best. Pullen. without'doubt, played the best game on the ground. Referee, Mr. G. EmpBon.

Pakeha r. Ramblers.—This match was ..yed at Karori and resulted in a win ■" Pakeha by two goals to nil. In the first spell, Pakeha had the better of. the play, Gracie scoring at the end of a. fine passing rush. In the second apell play was very even, Ramblers having hard luck in not scoring, . while Gracie again scored for Pakeha. Mr. v. Carver was referee. LADIES' HOCKEY.
