FOODSTUFFS COMMISSION SITTING

APPEAL FROM THE PRIME' ' . MINISTER. ' A sitting of the Foodstuffs Commission is set down to take place in Wel-

lington to-day. Speaking to_ a Dominion reporter with reference to it yesterday afternoon, the Prime Minister (the Right Hon. W. F. Massey) said that the sitting has been specially convened to hear any'evidence that may offer from people .who have reason to believe that exploitation is going on in connection with foodstuffs. A number of resolutions, he pointed out, have been passed in different parts of New Zealand, but scarcely any definite statements have been made. "Now is the opportunity," continued Mr. Massey, "for people to come forward ( and I ; hope that people who have evidence to offer will have no hesitation in coming forward."
