MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., presided over a short sitting of tho Magisttate's Court on Saturday morning. Karl Boliti and Carl Rosenquist, two seamen off the Palteha, were each sentenced to two days' gaol and order to pay 10s. each for being absent without leave. James M'Natty, charged iyith at. tempted suicide, was further remanded to May 3, For drunkenness Margaret Webb was fined £2 or 14 days'. gaol, Elizabeth Kempton and Con Conway each fined £1 or three days' gaol, and Angus M'Kay fined 10s., or 48 hours. Seven first-offending inebriates were dealt with.
