V The Zeppelin dropped two explosive and three incendiary bombs at Ipswich. Two middle-class nouses rtere burhed out. The residents were abed at the time, and had a remarkable escape, the bombs falling at the backs of ihe houses. One fell on the bedroom of a-girl aged-Welve yearSj and immediately the furniture oaught fire. TWO SQUADRONS OP ZEPPELINS SIGHTED. CRec. May 2, 3.50 p.m.). London, May 1. Zeppelins were sighted on the'east <Soast. Ii is reported that four passed 'over Wells and four over Lowestoft. They were sighted at Well's at 6.30 in the evening, travelling coastwise, and were later seen travelling east. Warnings were circulated in the eastern counties, but without result. It is believed the airships returned homewards. No bombs were dropped. ■ TAUBE ON THE SUFFOLK COAST. ffieo.
