MEAT FOR THE NAVY
FIVE MONTHS' CONSUMPTION. (Rec. April 30, 11.20 p.m.) , London, April 30. Replying to Mr. Will Thome (Labour), Dr. Macnamara _ (Secretary to tie Admiralty) stated ill the House of Commons that the Navy, from August I'till the end of December, 1914, purchased 2000 tons of frozen meat, chiefly beef, at an average price of slightly over 6d. per' pound, and 3150 tons of canned meat at BJd. par pound-
