About 150 Moors were taken prisoners in the fighting on the Suez Canal. These men (says the Cairo "Native Press") told the military authorities that they were on their way back from the Holy Places of the Hedjaz and were obliged by the Turks to bear arms and accompany the expedition against Egypt. . The French Consul having inquired into their case and found their statement true, the military authorities have released them and they were to be repatriated. '
